Objective. The NVIT J.P. Morgan Large Cap Growth Fund (the Fund) seeks long-term capital appreciation.

Strategy. The Fund invests in a portfolio of U.S. equity securities using a growth style of investing. Growth stocks are those that have above-average rates of earnings growth and thus may experience above-average increases in stock prices. Under normal circumstances, the Fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in securities of large-cap companies, which are those with market capitalizations within the range of the Russell 1000 Growth Index at the time of purchase. Most securities held by the Fund are issued by U.S. companies, although the Fund also may invest in securities of foreign companies denominated in U.S. dollars. Most securities held by the Fund are issued by U.S. companies, although the Fund also may invest in securities of foreign companies denominated in U.S. dollars. In managing the Fund, the subadviser uses a research-driven fundamental process and a bottom-up approach to identify stocks of companies with positive price momentum and attractive fundamentals. The subadviser seeks structural disconnects that allow businesses to exceed market expectations. These disconnects may result from demographic and/or cultural changes; technological advancements; and/or regulatory changes. Companies in which the Fund invests may come from any industry or sector, and at times the Fund may increase the relative emphasis of its investments in a particular industry or sector. Derivatives, which are instruments that have a value based on another instrument, exchange rate or index, may be used as substitutes for securities in which the Fund may invest. To the extent the Fund uses derivatives, the Fund will primarily use futures contracts to more effectively gain targeted equity exposure from its cash positions. The Fund is classified as a non-diversified fund under the Investment Company Act of 1940, which means that a relatively high percentage of the Funds assets may be invested in a limited number of issuers. The Funds subadviser may sell a security for several reasons. A security may be sold due to a change in the original investment thesis, if market expectations exceed the companys potential to deliver and/or due to balance sheet deterioration. Investments may also be sold if the subadviser identifies a stock that it believes offers a better investment opportunity.
