Terms of Service
Last updated: July 6, 2026
Please read these Terms of Service carefully. They are a binding agreement that governs your use of FundWatcher. By using the site, you agree to them.
1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a legal agreement between you and DisclosureMap LLC ("DisclosureMap," "we," "us," or "our"), the operator of FundWatcher, the website located at fundwatcher.app together with its content, data, and features (collectively, the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Site.
The Site is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. By using it, you represent that you meet this requirement.
2. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Revisions are effective when we post them, and the "Last updated" date above will change. Your continued use of the Site after a revision means you accept the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
3. Not investment advice
FundWatcher is an informational and educational tool only. Nothing on the Site is, and nothing on it should be construed as:
- investment, financial, legal, tax, or accounting advice;
- a recommendation, endorsement, offer, or solicitation to buy, sell, or hold any security, fund, or other financial product; or
- a statement that any investment or strategy is suitable for you.
DisclosureMap is not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, or fiduciary, and using the Site does not create any advisory, fiduciary, or professional relationship between you and us. Investing involves risk, including the possible loss of principal, and past performance is not indicative of future results. You are solely responsible for your own investment decisions and should consult a qualified professional before acting on anything you find here.
4. Source and accuracy of the data
The Site presents information derived from public filings made available through the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's EDGAR system — principally Forms N-PORT, N-CEN, and prospectus Risk/Return summaries — along with figures we compute from that data (such as allocations, portfolio changes, calendar and trailing returns, risk statistics, sector and geographic breakdowns, and fund-similarity measures).
- The data is provided "as is." It may contain errors, omissions, or delays, and it may not be complete or current. N-PORT portfolio snapshots are reported quarterly and are typically published roughly 60 days after the period they cover, so holdings shown here can lag a fund's actual current portfolio.
- Figures we compute are our own derivations and may differ from a fund's or issuer's official figures. You should verify any figure against the underlying SEC filing, which we cite, before relying on it.
- FundWatcher is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the SEC, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any fund, issuer, adviser, or index provider referenced on the Site.
Any reliance you place on information from the Site is strictly at your own risk.
5. Intellectual property and permitted use
The Site — including its software, design, text, graphics, computed analytics, and the selection and arrangement of the data it presents — is owned by DisclosureMap or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. The underlying public filing data originates from U.S. government sources; our contribution is the compilation, computation, presentation, and delivery of that data.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial research. You may view pages and download or print a reasonable number of them for your personal use, provided you do not remove any source citations, attributions, or proprietary notices.
6. Automated access and machine-readable data
FundWatcher deliberately publishes machine-readable versions of its pages
(append .json or .md, or send an
Accept: text/markdown request header) and an
llms.txt file to make the Site usable by software agents and
research tools. You may access these programmatically for personal,
non-commercial research, provided that you:
- respect
robots.txt, any published rate limits, and any technical access controls; - keep your request volume reasonable and do not degrade, overburden, or disrupt the Site or its infrastructure;
- preserve the SEC source citations we provide and do not present the data as official, as SEC-endorsed, or as investment advice; and
- do not systematically copy, scrape, or redistribute the data or analytics to build a competing or commercial product or bulk data feed.
Bulk, commercial, or high-volume access, and any redistribution beyond the personal use described above, requires our prior written permission. Please reach us through our contact form.
7. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- use the Site in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to, interfere with, or disrupt the Site, its servers, or any connected systems, including through denial-of-service attacks, or introduce any malware or other harmful code;
- circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security features, rate limits, or access controls;
- misrepresent the data — for example, by presenting it as an SEC or fund publication, as verified or real-time, or as personalized advice;
- remove, obscure, or alter any citation, attribution, or proprietary notice; or
- resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit any part of the Site except as expressly permitted in Section 6.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or to protect the Site or its users.
8. Third-party links and advertising
The Site contains links to third-party websites and resources (including SEC EDGAR) and displays advertising served by third parties, including Google AdSense. These links and advertisements are provided for convenience and to support the Site; they are not endorsements. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, products, services, or privacy practices. Any dealings you have with advertisers or linked sites are solely between you and them, and are subject to their terms. Advertisements do not reflect our views and are not a recommendation of any product or security.
9. Trademarks
"FundWatcher," the DisclosureMap name, and related logos are trademarks of DisclosureMap LLC. You may not use them without our prior written permission. Fund, issuer, index, and other names referenced on the Site are used for identification only and remain the property of their respective owners; their use does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by them.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT, DATA, AND SERVICES ON IT ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DISCLOSUREMAP DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE OR ITS DATA WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, RELIABLE, CURRENT, ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. THE FOREGOING DOES NOT AFFECT ANY WARRANTIES THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL DISCLOSUREMAP OR ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR INVESTMENT LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SITE OR ANY DATA ON IT, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100). THE FOREGOING DOES NOT AFFECT ANY LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless DisclosureMap and its members, officers, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the Site or your violation of these Terms.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or to the Site are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any legal action or proceeding must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts.
14. Time to file claims
Any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site must be filed within one (1) year after the claim arose; otherwise, it is permanently barred.
15. Miscellaneous
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will stay in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and DisclosureMap regarding the Site.
16. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent through our contact form (choose the "Legal" category). FundWatcher is a product of DisclosureMap LLC.
