Objective. The investment objective of the Fund is to seek long-term capital appreciation.

Strategy. The Fund invests primarily in equity securities of non-U.S. companies, including those whose principal business activities are located in emerging market countries. The Fund seeks to achieve its objective primarily by investing in companies that Lazard Asset Management LLC, the Funds sub-adviser (the Sub-Adviser), considers to be quality growth businesses. By quality the Sub-Adviser means businesses that it believes can generate, and sustain, high levels of financial productivity (i.e., return on equity, return on capital and cash flow return on investment). The Sub-Adviser considers, among other factors deemed appropriate and relevant to a particular company, whether the company has a competitive advantage in its industry and if the Sub-Adviser believes the company can sustain its competitive advantage. The Sub-Adviser considers, among other factors deemed appropriate and relevant to a particular company, whether the company has a competitive advantage in its industry and if the Sub-Adviser believes the company can sustain its competitive advantage. The Sub-Adviser also looks for growth businesses that it believes can grow profits and cash flows by investing back into their business at similarly high rates of financial productivity. The Fund principally invests in common stocks, but the Funds investments in equity securities also may include preferred stocks, convertible securities, and American Depositary Receipts (ADRs), Global Depositary Receipts (GDRs), and European Depositary Receipts (EDRs). The Fund may invest in securities of companies across the capitalization spectrum but generally focuses on companies with a market capitalization of $3 billion or more. The Sub-Adviser considers a company to be a non-U.S. company if: (i) the company is organized under the laws of or is domiciled in a country other than the U.S. or maintains its principal place of business in a country other than the U.S.; or (ii) the securities of such company are traded principally on a non-U.S. market; or (iii) during the most recent fiscal year of the company, the company derived at least 50% of its revenues or profits from goods produced or sold, investments made, or services performed in countries other than the U.S. or that has at least 50% of its assets in countries other than the U.S. The allocation of the Funds assets among geographical sectors may shift from time to time based on the Sub-Advisers judgment and its analysis of market conditions.
