Objective. This Fund seeks long-term growth of capital.

Strategy. Under normal circumstances, this Fund invests at least 80% of its assets in equity securities of mid-capitalization companies. The sub-adviser generally considers a company to be a mid-capitalization company if the company has a market capitalization within the range of companies included in the Russell Midcap Value Index, which measures the performance of the mid-capitalization value segment of the U.S. equity universe. As of December 31, 2024, the market capitalization range for the Russell Midcap Value Index was approximately $351.6 million to $75.2 billion. The Fund may also invest up to 15% of its assets in equity securities of foreign issuers that are U.S. dollar-denominated, including American Depositary Receipts (ADRs). The sub-adviser normally invests the Funds assets across different groups of industries/sectors, but may invest a significant percentage of the Funds assets in issuers in a single sector. As of December 31, 2024, a significant portion of the Fund is represented by securities of companies in the Financial sector. In selecting investments for the Fund, the sub-adviser examines various factors in determining the value characteristics of an issuer, including price-to-book-value ratios and price-to-earnings ratios. The sub-adviser also selects securities for the Fund based on a continuous study of trends in industries and companies, including the anticipated stability of earnings. The sub-adviser may sell a holding when it appreciates to a stated target, it fails to perform as expected or when other opportunities appear more attractive. The Fund may lend its portfolio holdings to certain financial institutions.
