Objective. The investment objective of the Fund is to provide long-term capital appreciation by investing in common stocks believed to be undervalued.

Strategy. At least 65% of the Funds total assets are normally invested in common stocks that T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc. (Sub-Adviser) regards as undervalued. Stock holdings are expected to consist primarily of large-company stocks, but may also include mid-cap and small-cap companies. In taking a value approach to investment selection, the Sub-Advisers research team seeks to identify companies that appear to be undervalued by various measures and may be temporarily out of favor, but which the Sub-Adviser believes have good prospects for capital appreciation. The Fund may invest up to 25% of its total assets (excluding reserves) in foreign securities, including securities that are economically tied to emerging markets.
